Each move I made brought forth the mess,
I felt for Oh! so long!
My focus foolish, valueless,
short sighted and all wrong!
This followed me throughout this trip
and seemed 'twould ne'er abate!
Each mem'ry and I'd feel its grip.
That impact was so great!
But now...perceive a widened view;
a landscape broad, I see!
My conduct held some value, true.
Before, 'twas hid from me!
I now can sense approving thoughts
in many steps I took.
Where once t'was none, I notice lots!
I see them when I look!
Ah! What a breakthrough--turnaround!
I oft' times acted fine.
This state, din't think t'would e'er be found!
'Tis such a pleasing sign!
I wasn't perfect; wrongs were done!
Yes! This...must recognize!
But breakthroughs, new have now begun!
This progress...such a prize!
So peace, I feel and not just guilt;
forgiveness...a big part.
And what a fine transforming tilt
to sense a placid heart!
