Juicy Memories 2001
juice glass graphic (1.8K) by DR Varg juice glass graphic (1.8K)
Aft' New Year's Eve of '95,
her visits; there were none!
But on that day, we shared so much!
Our love seemed firm, not done!

My floors, though, never once again
did feel her special touch!
But though she never visited
she left behind, so much!

Because of this, I had to flee;
another home to find!
The messages, throughout...announced:
our love...fore'er entwined!

And then the truth, the other side
was spoken clearly, so!
Her love was near--NOT DISTANT!
down the road, it now did glow!

I moved away, to start anew;
a chapter fresh, compelled;
but couldn't just erase my past,
her impact, on me dwelled.

And it's still there--six years from then;
her presence in my heart
continues, though now pleasantly;
my life, she's still a part!

And many gifts from her, I've kept;
they're treasures, now I sense.
Reminders of the love we shared;
such proof; firm evidence!

But one memento--did toss out;
that can of frozen juice;
it seemed 'twas time to let that go;
...had saved it for one use!

I wrote about this following
a joyous gift arrived;
A card from Col depicting us;
our closeness, hence revived.

"Could circumstances show themselves
and reason then be found,
for opening that frozen tomb,
disturbing hallowed ground? "

"For one event, I would conclude
its icy state now ends!
If those two on the card proposed
a toast to being friends!"

And that state never happened
so, the can just sat, until
I moved again then did conclude
'twas time it now should spill.

And never did regret this but
a thought last week in, flew!
A perfect scene did show itself,
to serve this special brew.

If I still had it, t'would be mixed
and poured with special care
before her grave; a moving toast;
t'the love we'll always share!
