Sunday Worship

From the Sunday after Labor Day Weekend until mid-June,
worship services begin at 10:30 a.m. with all ages present. Most Sundays, the children recess for Sunday School classes as we sing them and their teachers out to their classes with the wish that "the Spirit of Love surround them." After enjoying a full hour of classes, Sunday School children rejoin their families at Fellowship Hour.

Several times a year we offer Intergenerational Services, where children and adults explore a topic together in the sanctuary.

Many frequently asked questions (FAQ) and the answers can be found by exploring the Unitarian Universalist Association's Newcomers website.
What should I wear to church? We encourage casual and comfortable clothes.

Worship on Sunday morning is an essential part of our church life.  We begin each service by saying our covenant together while the chalice, symbol of our faith and traditions, is lit:
Love is the doctrine of this church,
The quest of truth is its sacrament,
And service is its prayer.
To dwell together in peace,
To seek knowledge in freedom,
To serve humankind in fellowship,
To the end that all souls shall grow into harmony with the Divine,
Thus do we covenant with each other and with God.
There are some constants in our Sunday morning, but, there's a lot variety, too.
On Sunday morning:
  • all ages are together, for a few minutes, or sometimes for the whole hour.
  • people share their thoughts as they light candles for personal joys and concerns.
  • the minister, a lay leader, or an invited guest, shares her or his thoughts in a sermon.
