To Be Brave
Copyright © 2006 by the Reverend Ms. Robin F. Gray. All rights reserved. May I be brave like mountains
Standing firm on sure footing Though winds and rain tear away at me. May I be courageous like seasons Moving into the changes that come In calm expectation. May I know the bravery of wind itself Remaining sure of my destination Whether moved by zephyr or fury. May I experience courage like falling rain Plummeting toward the earth Ready to be absorbed, transformed, lifted up again. May I be brave as blossoms That emerge out of season Only to discover inhospitable conditions. May I know the courage of the dark soil Filled with potential in seed and egg Bearing bounty without having to be the center of attention. May I enjoy brave moments though fleeting as clouds Scudding across the sky Going on, going on without end. |
