The Porsche 356 Southern Connecticut Register, Ltd. (356/SCR)
Come Play with us.
The Fleming Carrera2 - still going!
The Porsche 356 Southern Connecticut Register, Ltd. [356/SCR] was incorporated in 1986 to serve the needs of Porsche 356 drivers in the Southern New England & the greater New York area. For many years the Nutmeg News - the official publication was as important as the driving events - as Gordon Maltby and his able crew have reinstated our trust in the 356registry we have redefined our goals to the satisfying task of driving our 356s.
The first meeting was in Greenwich CT - the group has evolved from a 300 member 'readers club' to a 60 member drivers club - the original intention. We have on average 8 to 10 driving events per year.

Founders: Tom & Kathy Sottile*, Mark & Merril Wasserman, John Whitton Bria, Ed Hyman*, Charlie Smith, James McKeever, Don & Helene Ross-Fox* (+Erik Apotheker-first recruit). The active members currently live in areas ranging from West Hartford CT to Bethlehem PA.

In Honor of Dr. Ferry Porsche, The Porsche 356 S.C.R. Ltd. will have a 'Drive your 356 ' to Sharon, Connecticut on Route 41, (located in the North Western Part of Connecticut)

We will assemble at the Old Granite Clock Tower in Sharon, around 10:30 am. We will then leave at exactly 11:00 am to drive our cars up Route 41 North to Lakeville, which is a Beautiful Scenic Route approximately 18 miles. From there will go on to Salisbury (Twin Lakes). We will search for the mystery white 356 Speedster of the North East Corner (no, it is not Val's)

Then, we will continue down to Falls Village; take various routes to West Cornwall and stop at the Covered Bridge for Pictures. A short hop over the Ridge to picnic in Goshen and then on to Litchfield where we can walk on the green and check out some of the Shops in Town.

Make sure you pack a box lunch, a Blanket & a Camera. Hope to see you all at Sharon on September 19th, 1999.
