Come to Vacationland USA as we conquer Maine's toughest river,
the Penobscot. If rafting isn't your bag, then come join us as we hike
Maine's tallest mountain, Mt Katahdin! The
rafting trip begins on the lower, calmer part of the river allowing you to
warm up before tackling the more challenging Ripogenus Gorge section in the
afternoon. Here the river is its most turbulent, dropping over 70 feet per
mile through a narrow, granite walled canyon into the Exterminator and
Staircase rapids, both advanced Class V rapids. This
trip will sell out, so sign up soon! The cost for rafting is $205 a person,
it includes 2 nights lodging, lunch day of rafting. Plus we will have a
wonderful potluck dinner Saturday night. If you are just interested in hiking
the cost is $100 for 2 nights lodging. |
