3-D Models > Horseshoe Crab

Objective: Create a 3-D model of a crustacean of your choice (I chose a horseshoe crab). Model the creature as accurately as possible using only NURB surfaces. Analysis: This project was an assignment for a Digital Modeling course at DePaul University. Other than the "hinge" joint between the two halves of the shell, the model received high-marks. The model was constructed almost exclusively from cross-sectional curves derived from front and side-view drawings of a Horsheshoe Crab.
