Objective: Use at least 3 depth cues to create the illusion of 3-D in a 2-dimmensional drawing. "Seek Closure"was one of three phrases we were required to incorporate one of three phrases into the work. Analysis: This project was an assignment for a foundation digital design course at DePaul, University. I ended-up using 5 depth cues. The word "seek" is written in a "hot" color and appears to be rising from it's "cooler" (green) background. This same word also increseases in size as it spirals toward the viewer through the tunnel. It also overlaps the word "closure" in one place, furthering the illusion that it is rising off the page toward the viewer. The lighting in the tunnel fades from dark at the far end of the tunnel becoming lighter as it approaches the user giving the illusion of dept. The word "Closure" utilizes a background shadow, giving it the illusion of rising from the white background.
