things that have happened since the last update

... in no particular order...

• we had barbeque festivities at Katherine's
  
• the upstairs people came back from Santa Fe: they seem very nice. But they're moving to Santa Fe, and they've sold the upstairs.
  
• we have real furniture. a chair and a couch from the same set! and a paisley chair that is very Terri
  
• we went to Raw Dance with Simon and Frances, and saw April in a couple of pieces. The Perez-Balls are in Puerto Rico now. April's in Europe, in Germany and soon Spain with Yury.
  
• we finally, finally have a working phone
  
• the unpacking continues
  
• I caused and fixed an electrical problem
  
• esteemed guests (Kim and Glenn) have visited, and esteemed guests (Helmecki) have booked reservations at the Curtis Street B&B
  
• We take the T more often now. Every morning, we walk down Holland Street, and there's a line of people also walking to the Davis Square station. It feels a little like the scene in Metropolis where the shift is changing at the factory. Terri says I can't write that. Because the walk is really kind of pleasant. I agree. It is kind of pleasant. It's outside. It's much better than driving.
  
• I trimmed all the maple trees out of the hedges. We continue to discover what's planted in our yard. Today I came home to notice Irises in front of the house. This weekend, we found poppies.
  
• We had major music purchases last Friday. On the way back from Newbury Comics in Harvard Square, we walked past Million Year Picnic and Terri noticed that a new Mutts book is out. When we went in, I found that the newest Berlin is also out.
