P80 and P100 Polapulse Batteries

The Polaroid P100 battery is the customer replaceable version of the battery.  The Polaroid P80 batteries are used either in disposable items, in battery packs or in applications where a technician must change the battery. They can be used in series or in parallel to increase voltage, current or capacity. The P80 battery is supplied mounted on a card with a thin plastic overwrap.

	P100 for Customer Replacement. P80 for Built-In or Powerpak. The P100 battery is available in a handsome blue wrap as a customer replacement battery in both OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and retail packs. The P80 batteries are used in Polaroid film packs and are offered only to OEM users.

	Contains No Mercury; Environmentally Safer Than Many Other Batteries Does not use Cadmium or Lead.  Also, unlike some other batteries, did not explode under testing which simulated customer misuse, including exposure to fire.
	Proven Leak-Resistant In Over One Billion Polaroid Film Packs Similar batteries have produced no known leak damaged cameras. Has no zinc can to perforate. Contains no strong alkalis.
	Accidental Reversal of Polarity Virtually Impossible Correct polarity is assured, since these batteries have only two terminals, which are both on the same side of the battery. This advanced contact design eliminates the need for protective diodes.
	Technical Assistance and Designer's Kits Available A P100 designer's kit containing 5 batteries and a molded prewired battery holder and a P80 designer's kit containing 10 batteries and 10 spring metal contacts are available.

Although not designed as rechargeable batteries, P80's, and P100's have been successfully recharged for many cycles by some customers and are being used in this manner.
