Powerdex 6A1400
(formerly VP6-1400) batteries are no longer being made. Until recently, we had
the last remaining stock of these batteries, but we have sold them all.
However, the Powerdex
6A1400 battery was designed to be interchangeable with the Polaroid P100 (it
was originally designed as the Polaroid P500).
We have fresh
stock of Polaroid P100 batteries available.
The major
difference between the two batteries, is that the Powerdex was a 6 volt
lithium- manganese dioxide battery while the Polaroid is a 6 volt
zinc-manganese dioxide battery. The capacity of the Polaroid battery is lower
which means that it will last in applications one-quarter to one-third as
long. All devices will work, but you will need to change batteries more often.
Contact us with
any questions, since we were involved with the design of both batteries.
