Fidelity House's 9th Annual Appreciation Night will be held THIS Saturday night, April 29 at the historic Town Hall in Arlington.  The evening will feature a silent and live auction, music by the Continentals, dancing and food stations.    The event is a major fundraiser for Fidelity House, a non-profit community center that has been serving the community since 1955.   There are sports memorabilia, vacation get aways, rounds of golf, household gifts, restaurant gift certificates, the Fidelity House “kid” goats and many other interesting items to bid on.  All proceeds will benefit Fidelity House.  Tickets for the evening are $50.00 and are available at Fidelity House, 25 Medford Street.  We hope you can be a part of this fundraising endeavor and show your support for the many years of service and the wonderful programs Fidelity House continues to offer.

LOTTERY BOWL TICKETS-  Fidelity House appreciates all the donations of LOTTERY TICKETS for our ever popular "bowl of tickets" for our event this Saturday night!  Tickets can STILL be dropped off with Alice at Fidelity House until FRIDAY! THANKS in advance! 

 

1st - 4th gr. SPORTS ACADEMY:  NEW THIS WEEK!  Fidelity House will be offering a Whiffleball Program on Fridays and Indoor Soccer on Tuesdays for grades 1-4.  1st and 2nd graders meet from 3:00 -4:00 while 3rd and 4th graders will play from 4-5. The academy begin the week of April 24. Tim Graham and Jackie Woods will direct the program.

ANGELILLO  OPEN 8-BALL TOURNAMENT   Frantz Pinard worked his way for the final spot!!.  The other top seven spots belong to Brian Foran, Alex Morella, Garrett Greene, Tim Demers, Bobby Wesoloski, Joe Zoeller and Michael Cherelli!  Good luck this week!!     

 

BUNNY BONNET COLORING CONTEST –Floppy eared bunny winners are Julie Foran, Anthony DeFranco, Tia Fotopoulos, Thomas Kennon, Elaine Woods, Brendan Greene and Molly Mahoney.    As always, prizes are given to the winning bunnies.  Stop by on or after Friday for your prize! 

 

Chess Tourneys- Who is the chess King or Queen of Fidel (for both 1st – 4th grade & 5th grade & up)?  We’ll find out Tuesday with a little tourney action!

HATFIELD V. MCCOY DAY: This Wednesday,, the Hatfields & McCoy's will once again resume their yearly FAMILY FEUD at Fidelity House!! Kids who enter that day will either be adopted by the Hatfields or the McCoys and will challenge the teams to a game of their choice! As always the results will be kept and the team that wins the most, wins the feud for THIS year .                                                                                                                                   

Next week-1/2 DAY PIZZA PARTY Fidelity House will be celebrating Spring with a 1/2 day pizza party next Weds. May 3 from 11:30 - 2:00 p.m. Fun games arts & crafts and pizza are on the menu. Ants not allowed- so don't miss out! 1st-6th graders are invited.  Registration is required and the fee is $5 for members and $7 for guests.  REMINDER RE: BUILDING HOURS ON 1/2 DAYS- The building does NOT open until 2:00 p.m. EXCEPT for pizza  participants and v.c. members.   PLEASE plan accordingly. 

  

DAY CAMP Our 51th edition of Summer Day Camp will begin Wednesday, July 5 and continue for three 2 week sessions.  The camp is open to all  children six through thirteen years of age.  Fidelity House Day Camp will again be holding many of our activities at spacious Minuteman Regional Technical High School in Lexington.  The superb facilities include an Olympic size swimming pool, spacious athletic fields for outdoor recreational play and nature activities and indoor facilities for inclement weather.  Activities include daily swimming lessons taught by Red Cross certified staff, sports, arts & crafts, archery, age appropriate group activities, nature activities, free swim time, all camp field trips & talent show performances. Single week registrations are also accepted.  Camp runs Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with an option for extended care until 6:30 p.m.

 

KINDERGARTEN CAMP-Fidelity House is now accepting registrations for our popular Kindergarten Camp offered for children who are 5 & 6 years old.  The program offers 9 one week sessions (Monday - Friday)  beginning June 26 - through August 25 from 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.  Extended care is available until 5:30 p.m. for an additional fee.  Activities will take place at Fidelity House’s brand new day care facility/play area, Fidelity House and Minuteman Regional Technical High School in Lexington and include: arts & crafts, sports-indoor & outdoor, drama, library visits, story time, field trips, cooking, exploration, music, computer time, swimming lessons taught by Red Cross certified staff (6 weeks only), group games & science discovery.

 

PRESCHOOL CAMP-  Fidelity House offers preschoolers a chance to experience the fun of camp in an atmosphere that is geared for their needs.   There will be 10 one week sessions (Monday - Friday) offered beginning  June 12 through August 18.  The program is designed for children 2.9 - 5 years old and the camp hours are 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.  Activities include arts & crafts, music, story time, group games, free play, nature activities, wading pools for warm days, snack time and lunch time.  Registrations are now being accepted and brochures are available.


 

SPORTS & BBALL CAMPS are also offered in the Summer.   Brochures for the TOMORROW’S STARS boys & girls skills and development basketball clinic camp offered June 26- 30 ARE at Fidelity House while the rest of the sports, bball camps will be available later in the month.  Stop in at Fidelity House or call 781 648-2005 for more info.

MEMBERS of the WEEK-  quick periods of rain, no problem….sunburns, no problem…figuring out all the different flowers & prices, fairly easy…..WIND, almost no problem(unless you’re having a picnic!) …. …..this year’s group of Volunteer Club members who sold flowers during Easter were the GREATEST!  They were helpful to customers, were willing to work outside to sell,  worked well together and gave service with a smile!
