Hotel Venus celebrated its fourth anniversary with friends and fans of designer
Patricia Field's second store. Everyone crammed there to schmooze and drink while
celebrating the anniversary of a New York fashion institution. Girlina and John-John
were on the decks, but took a break when Diana slinked her way down the stairs for a
knockout performance. Next was Kevin Aviance and literally, no one could escape - his
stairway performance made it impossible to enter or exit the party. The true star, however,
was Ms. Field herself, resplendant in her swede fringe jacket. Say what you will about other
designers, but no one else except Field could make both suburbanites and fashionistas
want to rock their old gold nameplate and hoop earrings and put some fun back into fashion.
