Genealogy is fun! There are puzzles to solve and stories to uncover if we are persistent and lucky! It also is a way to honor our ancestors for their faith, hard work, courage, and self-reliance. Using detailed court and church records, I have started with the earliest members of the family in Virginia and then North Carolina. Only a portion of my data is to be found here. Future plans include adding information about the family during the 1800s as they moved west.

My hope is that you will enjoy this site and be aided in your search for those elusive ancestors. Please send corrections, additional information or comments to me. They will be most welcome! If you are not able to connect your family line to the ones described here, e-mail me and I will share whatever I have. My database now includes about 2300 individuals living during the 1600s, 1700s, and the first half of the 1800s.
