Prior to her attendance at MIT, Ms. Scott worked for eight years in city planning and economic development activities at both the Lowell Historic Preservation Commission (an agency of the U.S. Department of the Interior) and the City of Lowell Division of Planning and Development, where she was responsible for rehabilitation of historic structures for adaptive reuse for private and governmental users. Since joining the firm Ms. Scott has overseen a variety of commercial real estate projects ranging from urban new construction and redevelopment to large scale master planning. Her responsibilities include: development and market analysis, financial feasibility and structuring, design coordination, approvals and marketing. Ms. Scott holds a Massachusetts real estate broker's license and is affiliated with the Boston Society of Architects, the National Trust for Historic Preservation and New England Women in Real Estate.
