It Happen

People voiced their opinions

Many were voiced from speculation

Others were voiced from ignorance

Politics they knew little, they judged

By the color of skin, not by the content

Of one’s character. So many excuses for not

Voting for change but many reasons for voting

For the same, fearful of knowledge and afraid to

Take the first step is what a child do when he or she is learning how to walk.

It Happen, the fear we tried to cast in the minds of

Other’s, were defeated and change came about. In My time, I didn’t foresee a person of color leading the country, but it happen and those that doubt that we all are choose to give of ourselves regarding of skin color, take a serious look at who is leading the country.
