(Wakes)

Wakes,

are where people gather to reminisce

about having not seen each other since

the wake of a mutual friend or family member

Then,

finally promise to each other that they’ll

be in contact by mail, phone or nowadays, text

But,

in reality, no communication between them will

exist until mandated to go to another wake

And,

hopefully, neither of them is the one lying in the box.
