Odd sight it was

For the bird above

It saw me, and my family, and other people's families

flailing in the sea

It said,

I wish we could help.”

But it couldn't.

Odd sight it was

For the sea surrounding us

It felt adults, and children, and babies

Flailing in the sea

It said

I wish I could help.”

But it couldn't

Odd sight it was

For the iceberg back there

It saw wood, and metal, and humans

Failing in the sea

It said,

You deserve this.

Don't crash into me next time.”

Odd sight it wasn't

For me

I was pushed into the water

And never came up to see anything

And..... cut!”

I felt the blue blanket pulled off me

I turned to see a sea of red seats

And one happy director

He walked up the stage, to me

And said

Congrats, you got the part.”
