In My Little Shell
Everyone says, "Break out of you
shell!"
But, why?
My shell is comfy.
No drama.
It's all good.
I like the scenery in my little shell.
Swirls of color that defines me.
Lavender here,
A little lime over here.
Maybe even a pinch of pink.
The temperature is always right.
In my little shell.
No sizzling summer.
Or freezing winters.
Springtime- all the time.
I might get lonely in my little shell,
But,
It never lasts for long.
I like the peace.
The quiet.
It's like a chimerical paradise
that I can come to when things are turbulent.
So don't tell me "Break out of your shell!"
Because, my shell is
where I really belong.
