Awards Received
José Jaime Pierluisi Foundation - Chamber of Commerce
Scholarship, 1995 and 1996. José Jaime Pierluisi was an Economic
Advisor for Governor Pedro Rosselló. He was killed in the middle
of a carjacking near his home. His family and friends wanted to
perpetuate his memory and on June 7, 1994 established the
foundation that bears his name. José Jaime Pierluisi was an
excellent human being and a great loss for our country. The
following was included in the Foundation Information Bulletin for
the 1995-96 year: "The José Jaime Pierluisi Foundation was
established on June 7, 1994 as a memorial to honor José Jaime
Pierluisi in recognition of his intelligence, honesty, loyalty,
selflessness, vision and commitment to the betterment of Puerto
Rico. The Foundation will strive to instill in Puerto Rico's
youth Jose Jaime's intellectual, professional and human qualities
and values through its educational and social programs activities".
I'm really proud that I was the recipient of one of the first two
scholarships awarded. After finishing my degree, I hope to serve
Puerto Rico as well as Jose Jaime Pierluisi did.

Angeles Dodgers. I also coached a boys basketball team.
The last year I coached, my team made it all the way to
the finals. We lost in the final game. I was named Coach
of the Year, but what I really wanted was the
championship. My favorite basketball team is Los Angeles
Lakers. Football is a sport I really love to watch. My
