These notes also have not been spell-checked or proof read. ---------- QUESTION: Please give a one-minute overview of why we should vote for you. Peter Kelley: I have lived in Lexington for a long time... I have served on many different town committees and organizations. My main interest is to serve the community more broadly than I do now. I live in town and am always very available. Steve Tripi: I have lived in Lexington for a long time... My convictions were formed early in life when my family was evicted from our home in Somerville due to an eminent domain claim. I have since developed a strong suspicion of government control, which has led me to oppose it in most forms. I have been frequently battered in this town, but find it motivating. Some of my opponents can be seen in this audience [smiles]. ---------- QUESTION: Costs for services based on individual household use is coming under scrutiny. Pay as you throw was overturned. currently, water/sewer fees based on household use are being questioned. As municipal electricity is being proposed, what is the fee structure plan--per household according to use or property tax assessment? Tripi: I like fee based on use. Don'’t like municipal control for example: MWRA. Would like to cut the number of committees in town. Kelley: I like committees: Many knowledgeable people here to take advantage of. ---------- QUESTION: Municipal Light Plan: Would it be possible to include in the town-owned infrastructure cable service (tv and internet) and phone service as well as electricity, at least in the future? Tripi: I don't want the government involved. I prefer private enterprise with government oversight in these things Kelley: Prefer private enterprise with oversight as well. ---------- QUESTION: Peter Enrich has done yeoman’s work on limiting Hanscom growth. What will you do to continue this cause? Kelley: Keep an eye on Peter Enrich and make sure he keeps up his good work. Tripi: Ditto. ----------
