The Lexington Minuteman of August 7, page 21, has a notice that the Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on the petition of Grace Chapel on Worthen Road for a variance that would allow them to exceed the maximum required floor area ratio to reduce the number of parking spaces from that required by the Zoning Bylaw. This suggests that the Chapel wants to expand their usable space (seating capacity) without providing all of the required additional parking, which means more cars will park on Worthen Road and the other neighboring streets (maybe also the high school). The hearing will be held in the Selectmen's Meeting Room this Thursday, August 14, 2003, at 8:15 PM. The following hearing is scheduled for 8:20 PM, so it is not expected to be a long hearing.
