David Davies (Davis) was a Corporal at the Concord Fight during the Revolution. In April 1804 he purchased one of the "Lottery houses" from Calvin Heyward. Calvin Heyward had sold the house in January of that year to John Tuttle, purchased the house back in April and re-selling to David Davies the same day. Davis lived their until his death in 1815.  His wife Mary Hildreth Davis, sold the property to Solomn, Smith, Jr in 1820, right before his marriage to Catherine Faulkner.

David, Mary and two of his four children are buried in the Forest Cemetery in North Acton.

William Smith's co., Col. John Nixon's (5th) regt.; muster roll dated Aug. 1, 1775; enlisted April 24, 1775; service, 3 mos. 15 days; also, company return dated Sept. 30, 1775.

Davis, David. List dated Acton, Aug. 14, 1777, of men drafted from Capt. Simon Hunt's co. to reinforce Continental Army, agreeable to resolve of Aug. 8, 1777, and ordered to be in readiness to march, as returned to Col. Eleazer Brooks.
