Dear Greg,
Please post this message to your web page on Meet The Composer.
Meet The Composer has opened a web site providing the latest information
on our broad range of funding programs. Creating opportunities for
composers at every stage of their careers, in all styles of music,
Meet
The Composer is the largest source of funds available to composers
in
America today.
Our web page will soon feature a bulletin board where anyone can post
his
or her thoughts on the field, on composers' issues, on how Meet The
Composer is doing or what we should be doing. We welcome anyone who
visits the GR Music page to come visit ours and carry on the discussion
with us directly.
Find us at http://www.meetthecomposer.org. What Meet The Composer
does to bring
money to composers really does make a difference, and we want your
input on how we
can best do it to serve the field.

Dear Ted,
Very glad we spoke yesterday. I have added (linked) your Meet the
Composer web page to my GR
MUSIC web site. AND I have already posted your message - above- to
the editor on the
appropriate page on my web site. I hope we now have the beginning
of a healthy and productive
dialogue. Thanks very much for your input and generous concern!
Your page looks terrific and I hope it helps bring even greater public
awareness to the
programs of MTC and that composers and public alike will reap increasing
benefits through it.
I would greatly appreciate a copy - sent by e-mail - of your minutes
from the Town Meeting of
4/19/97 as per your promise today by telephone and as per MTC's web
page advice: "If
you would like a transcript of the New York town meeting sent to you,
or if you would like
to be placed on the mailing list for town meetings in other cities,
please e-mail us with
your name and address. (There is no charge for the transcript.)"
It would also be greatly appreciated if you linked my site to yours
so as to assure an easy,
comfortable and fruitful exchange in the new music community we both
are committed to
serve fairly and effectively.
Sincerely,
Gregory
