Commemorative Stratocaster re-issue of a 1954 Strat
This is probably the only one in the U.S. as they were NEVER made available here! The Japanese Custom Shop was (& possibly still is) second to NONE in the world and this strat is the closest thing that you will EVER find to a 1954 Strat without digging up an old original. It has a blond see through finish on an ash body but it is a natural stain type of finish so that you can actually FEEL the wood grain through the finish! Gold plated hardware, standard tremolo and special commemorative 40th Anniversary Neck Backplate. A one ply aluminum anodized white pickguard houses specially commisioned and custom wound Dimarzio Blue Velvet pickups that sound GREAT! The neck is a V-shaped contour with MONDO flame throughout and a smooth matte natural finish that feels as smooth as silk and has the Fender Custom Shop Logo. Again, it is MINT and I have all the original documentation as well as advertising from a Japanese guitar magazine from 1994 when it was originally released. (very limited production!:-)
