"Y'all remind me of home. Thank you. - Bryan, Biloxi, Miss."
(mysterious note received during a performance at the Delta Grill)
"Honking great accordion and fiddle, it simply made the dance floor explode."
- Horinca.Blogspot.com
Named after a hard-driving Cajun song called "Bosco Stomp," THE BOSCO STOMPERS play traditional Cajun dance music and nothing but. Not bad for five guys who live in New York City (although two of us originally hail from the South). We first jammed together in 2001, then went our separate ways until accordionist Jock Pottle requested a convergence for his wedding reception in 2003 at Manhattan's Delta Grill restaurant. The Delta Grill invited the band back for numerous return engagements, and we've now played many other NYC venues including the Knitting Factory, the Living Room, the Parkside Lounge, Banjo Jim's, and Performance Space 122. The band appeared in a Mardi Gras segment on "CBS2 News Sunday" in February 2006. We started work on our first CD in February 2007.
THE BOSCO STOMPERS ARE:
Jock Pottle - button accordion
Henry Hample - fiddle & vocals
Bob Godfried - guitars
Nate Landau - bass
Charlie Shaw - drums
