Nathan Hart, 1821 - 1883 From A. Andrews, Stephen Hart and his Descendants: Nathan Hart, West Cornwall, Conn., fifth son of Deacon Nathan Hart, of Cornwall, and his wife, Sylvia (Clark), born December 12th, 1821, at West Cornwall, Conn.; married September 8th, 1847, Sarah Amelia, daughter of Charles Whittlesey, of New Preston, and his wife, Mary Ann (Camp), born April 16th, 1827. She died January 21st, 1871, aged 44 years, when he second married December 19th, 1871, Frances Marion Whittlesey. He is a successful farmer, represented the town of Cornwall in the state legislature of 1860, is president and active manager of various agricultural societies in Litchfield County, and in 1874 resides at West Cornwall, Conn. |
