Julius C. Swift was born in Warren, Litchfield Co., CT, on May 15, 1792. He moved through New York state and eventually settled in the north-west corner of Pennsylvania, in the town of Edinboro, where he had a farm. He had 3 wives and twenty-two children. Many of his descendants still live in or near Edinboro, Pa. His grave, shown above in a picture taken by Jerry Gee, is in the Edinboro cemetery.
