As a former college professor, Helen very much enjoys speaking to
students and readers. She has met with English and History classes in
public and independent schools; with college students in Women's
Studies, Slavic Studies, Jewish Studies, Journalism and Memoir classes;
with social workers, psychologists and psychiatrists at various mental
health conferences; with women's groups and public library reading
groups; with religious groups at synagogues and churches. She has
recently traveled to speak in Mexico City, Toronto, Budapest, and Prague.
