I am trying to identify the individuals in these photos.  All have some connection to Carpetbagger, 492nd BG, 857th and 859th BS, 15th Spec (Prov) and 2641st Spec (Prov).  For more information see the following:

Leslie Turner

Photo 1 - 1st Lt. Edward F. Reilly and crew.  Eventually assigned to 857th Bomber Squadron, 492 Bombardment Group (Heavy), 8th Air Division at Harrington.  Transferred to 859th BS in December 1944 and attached to 15th Air Division at Brindisi and later Rosignano, Italy.  Part of 15th Special Group (Prov) and later the 2641st Special Group (Prov).

Third from right kneeling is T/Sgt Leslie L. Turner (my Uncle).  Picture likely also includes 2nd Lt. Clayton W. Pluff, 1st Lt. Jack H. Scott, S/Sgt. John C. Proaps, Sgt. Noland J. Griffin, and Sgt. James C. Johnson.  This photo was sent to Leslie's mother by James Poletti of San Luis Obispo, California.  He may also be in the photo.  The location is unknown but may be Harlingen, Texas.  An enlargement for examining individual faces can be viewed here or sent via email on request.

Photo 2 - Officers, likely including 1st Lt. Edward F. Reilly, Jr.

I would like to know where this was taken and who is in the photo.  I believe Edward F. Reilly, Jr. is kneeling on left but I am not sure.

Photo 3 - A portion of the Reilly crew.  T/Sgt. Leslie Turner is on right.  Others may include S/Sgt. John C. Proaps, Sgt. Noland J. Griffin, and Sgt. James C. Johnson and possibly also James Poletti.  The man 2nd from the left is definitely recognizable from the Reilly crew photo above.

I am trying to locate Walter Haass of the OSS, James Poletti, Clayton Pluff, James Johnson, and Noland Griffin.

Please email me if you can help in identifying the men in these photos or can help find any of the above mentioned men.
