Jim had set up three signs along the Minuteman Commuter Bikeway which read: "Will you" "marry me" "Beth?". Later he took Beth rollerblading past them. Beth didn't know they were meant for her until she came upon the last sign with her name on it. Then Jim knelt on one knee, presented her with a ring, and proposed marriage.
