The joint meeting of the IEEE, ASME, and SME will take place at the Holiday Inn, 500 Lincoln St., Worcester on February 16. This year it will be a luncheon meeting beginning with a social hour at 1 p.m., the luncheon at 2 p.m. and the program at 3 p.m.
The program this year will feature an outstanding engineer and astronaut Dr. N. Jan Davis.
Dr. Davis is the director of Flight Projects of NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center. She is a Fellow of the ASME and has won numerous awards. Dr. Davis has presented over 300 speeches to the general public, the media, academia, members of congress and has authored several technical papers.
In addition to the formal presentation, an award for outstanding engineer of the year will be made to Mr. Charles H. Moser by the Worcester chapter of the IEEE Power Engineering Society.
All are welcome to the program. Those wishing to attend the luncheon ($18) must call for reservations by February 8.
Meal choices are Grilled Breast of Chicken Dijonaise and Boston Baked Haddock.
