Summer, 2004
Well, this is the new site for the MULE Web for awhile. Still nothing happening in the world of MULE. Since The Gang that I usually played our weekly 4 player matches with decided to stop playing because it was not that fun anymore. I still wanted to play but playing with a computer player is like cheating. Now the Ole Atari 800 will be boxed up and put next to the Amiga waiting for a chance to come back out and play.
Soon, I hope to go though this site and do a little cleaning and vaccuuming to get this site cleaned up.
February, 2004
I am sorry to say.... But soon this MULE site will come down until I find it a new home, which might be as soon as next week. A link to the new site will be posted here. This site will become a mountain climbing site for people who like to climb in New England.
January, 2004

January, 2003
Not much news to say but 1 MULE site has moved... ExtremeMULEing has moved to Here.    Please change your bookmarks.
December 20, 2002
Well the M*U*L*E* 2002 season came to a close last night and in a very close match, Dave and Mark ended up tieing with a final average of 2.24 for the year. So the tie breaker has always been who had the most points for the year. Dave had $374,703 and Mark had only $369,685. So the 2002 M*U*L*E* Winner is Dave! So Mark lost by $5018 or 3 overpriced plots. And Mark knows what I mean...

Unfortuately several of the players do not want to play M*U*L*E* next year citing that 16+ years is enough. So I don't know what will happen to this site, whether I will keep it going for a while more or switch it over to what ever we play next. We will have to see, in the coming months.
December, 2002
Nothing new to report. Sorry the M*U*L*E* Web was down for a while, server trouble. I hope everyone has a safe and happy holidays as well as a safe new year!
Mid-November, 2002
Several reviews are out for SpaceHorse they are mixed and they can be found here An average Review   And,
Computer Gaming World gave it 1 star out of 5 and went on to say that this M.U.L.E. wannabe is not even a one trick pony. The reviewer goes on to say that after two rounds he was wondering "Why am I wasting my time on this drivel?" "I kept every game that I ever reviewed for CGW. SpaceHorse is going in the trash!" You can read the whole review in the December, 2002 issue of Computer Gaming World, on page 135.
November, 2002
Nothing really new this month. But there have been some new additions to the M*U*L*E* High Score page you can check out.
October, 2002
Another new site, that's a little different   ExtremeMULEing!  A M*U*L*E* Game Tournament Database, and a 20 question poll. Please check it out!
September, 2002
A new M*U*L*E* site has come to the internet and it's the first M*U*L*E* site in Spanish. It can be found at www.mulefans.com.ar   My spanish is very rusty, but the layout of the site is excellent. I only wish there was an english version of the site. The site is very comprehensive with links to all the M*U*L*E* programs, emulators, disk images etc. So check them out.
August, 2002
Space Horse is now available from Shrapnel Games
June, July 2002
Space Horse is set to be available on July 22 from Shrapnel Games
A demo is now available...Here for information and the 29 meg. demo
May, 2002
Well if you are reading this then you found the new home of The M*U*L*E* Web. If you change the bookmark to www.grubsoft.com it will always bring you to the M*U*L*E* Web. This month brings the release of SpaceHorse. Go to Shrapnel Games to check out the demo, or order the game. They are still working on the internet portion of the game and as of May 20th, it is feverishly being worked on. Please stay tuned...
April, 2002
Well if you are reading this then you found the M*U*L*E* Web after it had to move. Please change your bookmark. Nothing new this month, so far.
March, 2002
Around the middle of March, AT&T Broadband is changing it's address, so as a result the M*U*L*E* Web and my email address will change. Something else new, Terra 2200, The M*U*L*E* Clone that was in the works quite a while ago has had a status update. Check it out here Terra 2200 To be sure not to miss anything, please change your links to the M*U*L*E* Web to www.grubsoft.com  because this will always redirect you to the M*U*L*E* Web site. Otherwise not much M*U*L*E* related news. But my son turns 1 year old, and I am training him to be a M*U*L*E* player. All he does now is put the joystick in his mouth.
February, 2002
Not much new except that Space Horse is in it's final test phase and should be out in the near future.
January, 2002
New stuff to report... I finally got to play SpaceHorse from Gilligames and it looks and plays really well. Beta testing has ended and it is in final testing which I happen to be part of, I will keep you informed as to how it's doing and when it will be released. Next, read about The Appreciation of MULE at Introduction to MULE  it's a good read. Finally, if anyone else has a MULE Skinner award, please scan it and email it to me to be included on this site.
December, 2001
Nothing new to report, except that someone has sent me the scan of a M*U*L*E* Skinner Certificate. Take a peeek, it does exist
You get this by playing the Humanoid character against 3 computer opponents and scoring over $100,000. Then you take a picture of the screen and send it in to the Ozark M*U*L*E* Team.
And here is another one sent in. If you have one, scan it in and send it to me for inclusion in our new M*U*L*E* Skinner Award Winners section.
November, 2001
I have a request from a MULE fan...did anyone who played MULE as an Humanoid and beat the three computer players, and the score was over $100,000 and when you took a picture of the screen as proof, did anyone send a picture to the makers of MULE, it seems that if you did, then you would receive "The MULE Skinner" Certificate. If anyone has this certificate would you email me and first tell me about it and better yet, could you scan it and send me the picture. I think alot of people would like to see this award. I know I would have sent in my picture had I known this award was waiting for me. I thought they were just kidding.
October, 2001
Two things to report, Space HoRSE is getting closer to being done. And I was one of the privileged few to get a copy of Son of M*U*L*E* that was made by Danni Bunten for the Sega Genesis system. It isn't finished, but it is playable. The graphics are not as good as the Atari version, but it is another M*U*L*E* game. As soon as the legalities are straitened out, maybe everyone can enjoy this game. You have to use a Sega Genesis Emulator to play it.
September, 2001
Space HoRSE has gone into private testing...could we see it released soon...
August, 2001
Still nothing new to report, Again I am Sorry.
July, 2001
Still nothing new to report, Sorry.
June, 2001
Nothing new to report, but there maybe things on the horizon.
May, 2001
Finally, something new... a M*U*L*E* Clone called "Space HoRSE" will hopefully be released in June. If you want to be a beta tester jump over to this site http://www.gilligames.com/beta and sign up.
Here are some screenshots:

Otherwise nothing else is happening. Remember, if it is happening in the world of M*U*L*E*, you will hear it here first...sometimes second, but rarely third.
April, 2001
Nothing new this month...except that I bought the domain name grubsoft.com and redirected it to this site. So www.GRUBsoft.com will get you here faster.
March, 2001
First the good news is I have a new baby boy named Dylan who was born on March 2, he will grow up playing and enjoying M*U*L*E*. Next there is a M*U*L*E* card game on the horizon, the creator will give me all the details soon, so watch this space for the full scoop!
February, 2001
Not much new to report this month. Remember a few months ago (Sept., 2000) I asked if there were any people interested in trying to decompile the M*U*L*E* Binaries. Well so far only one or two people showed any interest. If anyone else is interested or has started on there own, let us hear about it. On the clone front...No news. Here's an interesting thought, what would you people think of a M*U*L*E* get together, where we would all gather someplace, play M*U*L*E*, swap stories. I know it sounds weird, but I am just throwing it out there to see if there is any interest. Let me know your thoughts The M*U*L*E* Web
Late Breaking News...A fellow M*U*L*E* player has tipped us off to a portable game system that plays Nintendo games, it is called The Famicom Game Axe, now you can play M*U*L*E as you walk around waiting for the clones to be finished. You can get more info at www.lik-sang.com Go to the products page then click on handhelds. The cost for the Game Axe is $95 US. If you can't wait to read the discription, here it is...
The handheld you have been waiting for...and will never get outside of Asia. The Game Axe Color, a color handheld game system that will play Famicom games. This unlicensed system is compatible with most, if not all, games that were released on the Famicom system. Now including the Family Converter 60-72pin to play european and US NES games!    On backorder, will arrive end of February.
Now don't you wish you saved that Nintendo M*U*L*E game cartridge...
January, 2001
Another year has past and another year was finished by the M*U*L*E* Gang. This past year was won by yours truly, and I take my place on the throne, until I get thrown off in 2001. I wrote a software program that keeps track of just about everything that goes on in a M*U*L*E* game and after playing 35 games this year with 3 other friends, I have some facts for you.
The Pirates like to come in turn 7 the most, 20% of the time, followed by turns 1, 3 and 8 with 14% of the time.
Overall there is a 40% chance that the Pirates will come only once in a game and 31% that the Pirates will come twice in a game.
And there is a 29% chance that the Pirates will Never come in a game.
67% of the time someone will lose a plot of land.
49% of the time someone will gain an extra plot of land.
26% of the time no one will lose or get a free plot of land.
December, 2000
Sorry for being late, but nothing new to report, I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
November, 2000
The Planeteer site has moved not disappeared as we all thought. They can be found at Planeteer. So we can all rest easy now, whew... It looks like I will be updating the M*U*L*E* Browser soon to add links and programs and take out old links.
October, 2000
The leaves are changing and there is a nip in the air, but that's all that's new. But at least I told you so.
September, 2000
I recieved this email recently with an idea:
I have made several serious attempts to woo senior VPs in Electronic Arts to license the original MULE source code to no avail. Their stance is "if it looks profitable, then we'll do it - otherwise, it's not worth even bothering with."
I wanted to know if you knew of an existing - or were willing to start - a special open source group whose job it would be to examine the Atari 800 MULE binaries and extract the application logic from the low level graphics and sound, etc. Once the precious logic of the brains of MULE was discovered, then finally MULE could be ported to new platfoms and even given updated skins.
I envision this project similar to the human genome project - every so often a different person would identify the purpose of a new secion of 6502 assembly, and the larger picture would start to come together.

So if anyone wants to join us in trying to figure out the coding behind M*U*L*E, or if you are fluent in 6502 machine language drop me a line The M*U*L*E* Web We hope to get as many people working on this so we can break down the M*U*L*E* code and hopefully port it over to Windows.
August, 2000
I am back from vacation, and the only new thing that has happened is that Toni Räsänen has decided to make his M*U*L*E* Clone, Open Source. You can get all the information here at Imagination
July, 2000
A few new programs to be aware of, brought to you by www.denie.com two M*U*L*E* programs, first a Winamp skin, based on M*U*L*E* and if you have a Nokita phone now you can have a M*U*L*E Tone to go with it. You can go directly to the site to get these goodies or to my download page to get them. Also I will be on Vacation this month for two weeks, so if you email me and I don't get back to you; I will get back to you when I return.
End of June, 2000
The only exciting news is The M*U*L*E* Browser is finished and ready for download, I have already added some new features like, besides the M*U*L*E* links you now have Atari-8 bit links as well as C64 links and the ability to save your own custom "My Links". The other sets of links are hard coded into the program and will be changed as needed. If anyone sees there page as one of the hard coded links, and want's to change the site name that I gave it then email me and let me know and I will change it immediately. Also you can e-mail me links that you think should be in the browser for everyone to enjoy. And finally if there are any features that people want to see added, just let me know. This browser is for you!
June, 2000
Nothing new on the M*U*L*E Clone front, but I am working on the M*U*L*E* Browser which will be the first internet browser dedicated to M*U*L*E*. It's fast and will surf like the other guys, but it's set up with all the M*U*L*E* links incorporated into it so going from M*U*L*E* site to M*U*L*E* site is a breeze. The program is in trials now and is free, I hope to have it ready within the next few weeks and hope everyone will like it. Check back for new information as it becomes available. Also if you want to see anything added then drop me a line at The M*U*L*E* Web with your suggestions. The M*U*L*E* Browser is mostly down and ready for download I still have a few feature to implement, but I didn't want to hold it up any longer. Check it out here! And let me know what you think... I am sorry about the initial size of 3.6 megs. for the install. The original program was only 35k But I had to add some functionality for the masses. Don't worry, when the program gets updated the download will be small.
May, 2000
I am still contemplating redesigning my site, but there is a new M*U*L*E* Theme, done by Edgemere, it is 1.4 megs. and you can download it here . Also Christian Schiller has redesigned his M*U*L*E* page and it is excellent! Check it out here!
April, 2000
All is still quiet, and nothing new. I am contemplating redoing the site, so in the next few weeks The M*U*L*E* Web will have a new design.
March, 2000
All is quiet while we are still waiting for the release of the 2 M*U*L*E* clones....

February, 2000
We are still waiting for the release of the 2 M*U*L*E* clones....

January, 2000
Happy New Year, let's hope that this year brings a few M*U*L*E* clones for all of us to enjoy. The Freeware M*U*L*E* Clone is coming along but still needs some sound FX and graphics to be made. If you can help out in any way please email the programmer at Koralt@Yahoo.Com to offer any help you can, but remember that the game will be freeware so don't expect any compensation except for the knowledge that you helped bring this game into the millennium.
