This is a short but very sweet album of nine compositions and arrangements by Bloom and Colnot (who do not perform on the CD). There are three short tracks for quintet or sextet, and six pieces for groups of 9 to 12 musicians. All of the compositions involve the use of beautiful tones and colors, and are finely arranged and feature flawless ensemble playing. I was reminded of the work of Gil Evans (or Michel Legrand), and would recommend this for anyone who appreciates Miles Davis's Birth of the Cool or Sketches of Spain.
