Ilona's clear lyrical voice is a welcome treat to the Jazz world. Her vocal expressions are not confined, flowing freely like two of her idols, Al Jarreau and Diane Schur. Born in France to a musical family that travel the world, she sings in both English and French.
Her delivery is effortless on both ballads and up-tempo songs. Our Blues Editor said of Ilona's performance on her previous CD Some Kind of Wonderful, "A gifted artist who possesses a luscious voice." That has not changed.
