Pianist Denny Berthiaume has been an institution in and around the Bay Area for well over 30 years. On this release, he partners with former wife and "friends for life" vocalist Susan Berthiaume. Here Susan lends her sterling voice to such classics as My Funny Valentine, The Very Thought of You, and Lover Come Back to Me. The CD highlights Denny's skill as a fine accompanist and arranger. A cast of solid Bay Area musicians ably supports the pair.
The CD has been in the works since 1989 and is a tender ode to love and family. As Susan tells it, "I love the story song. So here are some of my stories in the words and music that thrill my heart and move my spirit. Keep love on track. It always arrives."
