Baptiste Trotignon, piano.
Parisian Baptiste Trotignon's solo piano release is a real gem. Here is
a musician truly able to bring out the often elusive magic in music. While
only being 29 years of age, he has already won numerous French Jazz awards.
It's easy to understand why, as he has an assuredness to his playing that
belies his years. As a point of reference, he reminds me of the great German
pianist,
Joachim Kuhn. There is the same sort of depth and lyricism to his compositions.
His playing is fluid and flawless, filled with emotion, and so entrancing.
This recording gets my highest recommendation. Do yourself a favor and buy
it today, so you can enjoy the exquisite music and playing of Baptiste Trotignon
for yourself.
