Kris Adams, vocals; Greg Badolato, saxophones; Tim Ray, Steve Prosser, piano; John Lockwood, bass; Jon Hazilla, drums; Jay Kennedy, percussion
Sounds and looks like the kind of lady we would like to hang out with. The tunes Kris Adams selected are alone recommendation enough. She works well with pianist Tim Ray. Her timbre has a faltering, vulnerable quality, but she sure knows how to read a number. The musicians are all very supportive in making this an attractive album. Kris gets into top gear on "Secret Love" which means she gets into a bouncing interplay with the rhythm section, and her phrasing is really quite exceptional. Recommended for the moments of purity.
