An Affair To Remember:

Live Recording With Denise Perrier and Houston Person

Mark your calendars, you won't want to miss this rare opportunity to become part of history.

On Memorial Day, May 29, San Francisco's own "voice with a heart," Denise Perrier, will team up with ballad and blues master, tenor saxophonist Houston Person for a live recording at Jazz at Pearl's, the intimate club in the heart of historic North Beach.

Accompanying this super tandem is a stellar rhythm section - Tammy Hall on piano, Buca Necak on bass, and Kent Bryson on drums - plus a surprise guest or two.

Previously Denise and Houston collaborated on the highly acclaimed I Wanna Be Loved (1996).

"her rich, smoky voice is especially complemented by the warm, full-bodied tenor sound of Houston Person." -- Francesca Nemko

"Perrier's work is big, rich, melodic, and hits home with aremarkable punch." -- Phillip Elwood, San Francisco Examiner

"Tenor saxophonist Houston Person is one of the most soulful jazz players on the scene today. A musician who pays close attention to melody and has a deep sense of the blues, Person keeps the

soul-jazz flames alive." -- Springboard Productions

Shows are 8 and 10 PM with advance tickets available by contacting Jazz at Pearl's at www.jazzatpearls.com or 415-291-8255.
