Sketch and Berninger Cards

Below is a postcard sent to Mr. and Mrs. Karl Buesgen from Mabel and John (Berninger) dated August 8, 1959.
The Berninger's were on their yearly summer vacation to the Bar Harbor area in Maine.
The postcard message reads "...Here is a good one for you to copy..." which Karl did so as a quick sketch
shown here and later as an oil painting.

The next item you see beneath the postcard is an example of one of the Christmas holiday cards
sent by the Berningers to their friends.

Preview Party At Museum - Artist Karl Buesgen...at the Allentown Art Museum preview-reception for a show
by artists in the Circulating Picture Club....

Karl Buesgen was a contributing artist to this program
that loaned the paintings of area artists to hang and show in the homes and business’
 of community members.
