coordination, type a random sentence on a word processor and try not to
look down at the keyboard and try not to make a typo. When you start
getting every word right without looking at the keyboard, you can try
using your coordination skills on any video game, but you still need
to learn more about playing video games really well.
Another key to playing video games is reflex. You need to play quickly
and be prepared for anything in the game that might come for your
character. A bad guy sneaks up on you, so you must attack him and not
wait for him to get you first. In a game like Dance Dance Revolution,
however, reflex is used in a different way. You need to hit the arrows
at the right time. If you get this skill, you will be closer to being a
very good video game player, but you still need to learn more.
A key to playing a video game well is patience. If you lose your game
either because your character dies or you take a wrong step in a game
like DDR, don't chuck the controller at the ground and/or stomp off
angrily. Keep trying and you will be there. You are almost ready to
play a video game well, but you still have one more thing to learn.
The last thing you need is concentration. If you are really drawn into a game and you mom or dad want to talk to you, you can either pretend to care about what he or she are saying or you can pause. If you feel any movement around you, ignore it. You complete all these skills and you will be a very good game.
