I am a thirteen year old. As a thirteen year old, my family and I have had a lot of past experiences. A kind of the past experiences I have had is vacationing to weird and interesting places. My family and I live in Brookline, Massachusetts and we've been to Meriden, Connecticut. We go to Connecticut every Christmas to see my Dad's parents. We've been to Epsom, New Hampshire. We go there to celebrate New Years and so my parents can square dance with their friends. We have been to the Berkshires, in western Mass to see my Mom's parents and so my parents to square dance with their friends. We don't see my mom's parents as often as we see my Dad's parents.

I have been to Remsen, New York to go to summer camp on my own. My parents didn't come with me to the camp. In addition, I don't go there any more because I do not go to that summer camp anymore. Some places my family and I have only been to once include Las Vegas, Nevada; Ontario, Canada; and Branson, Missouri. Out of Meriden, Connecticut, Epsom, New Hampshire, the Berkshires, Remsen, New York, Las Vegas, Ontario, and Branson,

Las Vegas Sign

I liked Las Vegas the best. I have liked Las Vegas since I went thereThere are many reasons I loved Las Vegas. For one, I loved all the colored, bright signs. If there were one thing I could change about Brookline, I would replace the streetlights with these colored signs like Las Vegas'. Another thing I loved about Las Vegas were all the casinos it had. This place may sound like an adult place, but there were things for kids.

Slot Machine

There was entertainment, arcade games, and buffets, I loved the entertainment Las Vegas had. I remember seeing Sigfried and Roy and their lions and going to a virtual reality show. I remember going to a souvenir store and getting a toy slot machine. It doesn't give you more money than you put in, but it is a cool toy. I also liked all the breakfast buffets they had. They had foods there I would not normally eat; donuts, muffins, pancakes is just the start of the list of food I had at the buffets.

I chose to write about Las Vegas because even thought Ontario, Connecticut, New Hampshire, New York, Branson, and the Berkshires were great, but they did not have the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas. I liked Las Vegas so much that when I was in 4th grade, we had a thing called a 'Vacation Simulation', which is where we would come up with a place we had been to before that we liked a lot and make an exhibit based on it, and I made a model of the Hoover Dam, outside of Las Vegas.

Even though I loved Las Vegas, I probably love Boston more because I live in Boston and I love the historic sites of Boston. My favorite vacation place tells people who I am by telling people where I would like to go to again.
