There are many things that when we look at them, it seems like we are looking in the mirror. These things include books, songs, and even paintings. On my trip to the Museum of Fine Arts, I found three paintings like this.
The first of these paintings is John Neagle's 'Pat Lyon at the Forge'. This painting as painted in 1829. I think this painting is similar to me because the kid in the background is said to be who Pat Lyon was before he was an adult. I have a lot of items in my house that are a shadow of my childhood like Pat Lyon with his shadow kid. |

The second of these paintings is Edward Hopper's 'Room in Brooklyn'. This painting was painted in 1932. I think this painting is similar to me because the woman in the room is said to be bored and lonely. When I finish my daily responsibilities, I sometimes feel bored and lonely in my room, like the woman. |

The third of these artworks is a statue of John Marin's Head by Gaston Lachaise. I think this is similar to me because the statue has no eyes. When I eat lunch, I am oblivious to what is going on around me; sort of like I don't have any eyes like John Marin. |

You may look at the world around you and you may think that there is not anything you can connect or relate to; you are wrong. You will find something you can connect to if you look hard enough.
