Announcing the Audrey R. Goldstein
Memorial Scholarship ...

… an opportunity to honor an outstanding, long-time teacher and to help a graduating Marblehead senior at the same time.

On February 8, 2005, Audrey Goldstein died after a lengthy and courageous battle against stomach cancer. Mrs. Goldstein spent 23 years teaching in Marblehead, where she lived for 20 years. She was the mother of Eric Goldstein, MHS Class of ’79, and Sabra (Goldstein) Sherry, MHS Class of ’82.

Mrs. Goldstein was a highly respected teacher, and one of her former students, Nancy Marrs, has begun a scholarship in her name through the Citizen’s Scholarship Foundation of Marblehead, Inc. (CSFM). For more information, please read Nancy's letter .

In order to establish the Audrey R. Goldstein Memorial Scholarship as a permanently endowed scholarship, we need to raise $20,000 during the next five years. Please help us to reach our goal by making a tax deductible donation today. All contributions will be greatly appreciated.

Additionally, please consider making contributions to the scholarship on those occasions when you are making a charitable donation in honor of or in memory of someone you know. Just send the name of the person(s) you want to acknowledge and an appropriate acknowledgement card similar to the one below will be sent.

We Need Your Help to Reach More Alumni
So far, we have only sent solicitation letters to members of the classes of 1979, 1980, 1982, 1983, and 1985. We hope to get the addresses for other classes as well so we can directly notify as many of Mrs. Goldstein’s former students as possible about the scholarship. If you are the reunion chairperson for your class, or you know who is, please notify Nancy Marrs at Nmarrs@bu.edu

Also, to help us meet our goal, we’ll need to get creative about fundraising. If you have any suggestions about how to raise more money and/or would like to assist with this scholarship, please contact Nancy.
