Space Invaders
Two different companies made Space Invaders boardsets: Taito and Bally
Midway. Make sure you are at the right link. :-)
Here's what the pots on the top of the board control:
VR1 - UFO
VR2 - Laser Base When Firing
VR3 - Laser Base When Destroyed
VR4 - Invaders When Destroyed
VR5 - beep when bonus is awarded (extra life)
VR6 - invaders when advancing
VR7 - UFO when destroyed
VR8 - Total sound volume
A common problem with these sets are that the sound goes out. The amp
chip at the bottom left of the boardset near the edge connector is an
LM377. I would suspect this chip first.
