Hi all! So you're all too good to submit a guest review, huh?! I see how you
are! You can take it but you can't dish it out! Oh well. This week the
vending machine has some interesting price strategies; you can get a small bag
of Cheetos for 50 cents, or a large grab bag for ... $.50! And you can get a
small bag of Fritos corn chips for only $.75! (Huh???)
This weeks review:
Lay's Original Hickory Bar-B-Q Flavored Potato Chips
Foodworks brought over some food for a meeting today, so I thought I'd try something new. Barbecue chips have never been a favorite of mine, but after trying Lay's Original Hickory, I may change my tune.
Lay's (Frito-Lay incorporated I believe; two men, one named Cornelius Frito and the other Hortence Lay, set out to stake their claim in the world of flat, greasy potato chips, frankly because they had nothing better to do.) Hickory Bar-B-Q chips have a light but spicy flavor to them. I feel like I could eat 9 bags of them and not be full, but at a whopping 130 calories from fat, I wouldn't recommend it.
Very good flavor; not a fake BQ sauce flavor like I'm used to, plus you get your daily recommended allowance of hickory (huh?). I recommend a Mountain Dew as a chaser. However, they contain no preservatives, so eat them before they rot!
