Boy oh boy, has it been a while! But yes, it's time for another edition of Vendor Reviews! And it's actually been a pretty decent summer so far, including the summer movies. I don't think I can ever watch South Park the same way again.

This weeks review:

Milky Way Dark

So, lately I've been eating more chocolate bars out of the machine than usual. Doritos Spicy Red BBQ still is the best choice, but this new chocolate bar should be a nice change. First question though: Does the term "Milky Way" refer to our solar system, or the entire galaxy? I think it refers to our galaxy, but then what is our solar system named? But I digress..

This bar is made with dark chocolate, caramel, and vanilla nougat. Now, everyone knows that nougat is well, strange. It does not appear in nature, but is a freakish byproduct skimmed from the insides of old ice-cream boxes. It has mass, but its density cannot be calculated by any conventional means. It simply falls into the "stuff" category.

Upon opening the wrapper, I smell a familiar smell: Easter Bunny. I chomp into it instinctively before it is stolen by my older sisters, yet they are no where in sight. The label says "dark chocolate", but it is actually a semisweet chocolate, so it's tastes richer than a normal candy bar without being bitter. The caramel is very good and did not react badly with my cavities as other caramel products do (that doesn't sound right). The nougat, however, had no flavor. This was peculiar, so I actually took steps to isolate it from the rest of the chocolate and caramel, and tested it again: The nougat is flavorless, and is pretty much just filler. Even so, the dark chocolate and caramel make up for it. This is a good, solid, chocolate bar.

WARNING: For those of you who are allergic to peanuts, this bar is not for you, as it is manufactured in a facility that uses peanuts. Seriously, it says so on the label.

Rating: * * * 1/2 (out of five stars)
