John North, LCSW holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from Loyola University of Chicago, he has been in practice for over 14 years, and he is licensed by the state of Illinois. He has also completed advanced studies in marriage counseling, brief treatment, and he has over 400 hours of training in clinical hypnosis. John specializes in helping individuals, couples, and families resolve the kinds of emotional and psychological issues that arise from work situations, relationships, health related issues, sexual orientation, or spiritual crises. As an adjunct to talk therapy, John offers guided imagery, hypnosis, and therapeutic touch to facilitate the healing process. John has given talks on stress management to police officers, mental health professionals, church groups, and civic groups. He also provides introductory demonstrations of hypnosis to high school psychology classes. John is a member of the Illinois Society for Clinical Social Work.
