Dedicated to all whom fought bravely for American freedom throughout her many
wars.
This is a story about a simple man in a very hard time. His name will not go
down in history as someone that saved the day for the allies in World War
II....or should it?
His name will never be told around camp fires to young impressionable men and
women looking for a good yarn about the hardships and pain of the "glory" days
of the big war....or should it?
He may never reach the cover of People magazine, or receive the Nobel Peace
Prize for his service to his country, but there is one factor that cannot be
dismissed so easily....
Pappy will always be a hero to me.
