This is the first Chrysler product that remember my dad having. He had one of these beauties when I was about 10 years old.
Lots of room in the trunk to haul slab wood home for the furnace. I remember that! There was even more room when the back seat was removed. Dad would back the car up to the cellar window and it was the job of us kids to throw it into the coal bin. We burned wood in the fall until it got real cold and then we switched to coal. Dad would often tell us that he had to go down and "shake" the furnace. My sister said that she really thought he put his arms around the furnace and shook it. After dad got his next car this one sat in the back yard for along time. I remember spending many hours sitting in it listening to the radio and playing with the cigarette lighter burning the steering wheel and shifter knob.
